It is disgusting to think that kids who make mistakes in their childhood or get into trouble during their youth could be marked for life in the eyes of the police, potential employers etc. This is a disgrace. If you cant make mistakes or errors when you are kid then when can you? It is part of growing up. I have seen the unique learner number on enrolment forms for colleges this year and I would strongly urge individuals who work in educational institutions to boycott the system by not entering the unique learner number when enrolling new learners, that way the system is destined for failure. If people refuse to participate and use their working powers to bypass the scheme in a display of civil disobedience then it will be unworkable. The problem again is that the majority of people are unaware of their governments plans for their kids and the next generations. If we do not take a stand it is our kids that will suffer. We should not tolerate this. It is unacceptable. Another example of civil liberties being corroded away under new labour.
