Radical or total transparency is an option for addressing issues of sustainability raised by corporatism: not for any feelings of global or even corporate citizenship – for sheer, cold-hearted, bottom-line, profit-based economics.

As more and more people live increasingly transparent lives, courtesy of a military industrial complex by-product (the internet), shareholder pressure will exert irresistible force on market systems to abandon secrecy-based inefficiencies and distortions of market (Enron, as one minor example).

It won’t just be dolphin-loving ecologists boycotting tuna – corporatism will eat itself responding to the ultimate efficiency of all – instant accountability.
